DAY 23 - CRESTON TO CRANBROOK, B.C.

Bob & I were the 'leaders' today and it was an uneventful trip.   112 kilometers in all and I didn't take any photos as the scenery although beautiful was quite similar to what we'd passed through before.   We stopped at Denny's for lunch and then set up our Rigs in the RV park.   Later Don & Jan went to Fort Steele and Gil, Sue, Marg, Ted, Bob and I went for a bike ride.   It took us a while to find the trail that was recommended to us but once we did we really enjoyed it.  A little more strenuous than bike rides we'd done in the past but good for the waist line am sure!

Good fellowship and conversation in the evening and everyone is excited about visiting White Swan tomorrow.  This is an area where Bob, Gil, Ted, Don and other friends (even my brother-in-law Mike from New Zealand) hunted many years ago.   This will be full of memories for them and I plan to take lots of pictures!

DAY 22 - LAYOVER IN CRESTON, B.C.

A real relaxing day!  The guys golfed while us girls just looked around Creston (didn't take long!) and caught up on a few chores.   This afternoon while the guys made plans for future golf plans the 4 girls enjoyed a game of 'Canasta'.   Lots of fun...!

Tonight Don & Jan had us over for Strawberry Pie and Coffee.   Jan had made a beautiful fresh Strawberry Pie and we all enjoyed it so much.   Don introduced a new game.....and there were lots of laughs particularly when in the end it wasn't really clear who were winners and who were losers!

The most enjoyable part of RV-ing is the fellowship between the 4 couples....we enjoy each other's company so much.   The evening ended with "up and down Rook"...then we made plans to meet at 10:00 a.m. for our journey to Cranbrook.

"OUR" WAY OF SHUFFLING!!

DAY 21 - KALISPELL MT. TO CRESTON B.C.

We decided to leave a little later this morning (mostly to accomodate interest in the British Open by the guys!!)...however I was pleased to sleep in!!  Todays journey took us back into Canada...and we arrived at Creston B.C. around 4:30 p.m.   Due to the fact that we had disposed of all our vegetables and fruit because of the Border crossing...we decided we would grocery shop after a very nice dinner at the local Ricky's.   Our R.V. park is quite small and we have 3 pull-throughs and 1 back-in.  Needless to say Ted very kindly took the 'back-in'.

Our clocks went back an hour today so here it is 9:00 p.m. and we're all ready to settle down for the night.   Another great day - fabulous temperatures with a nice breeze.

DAY 20 - LAYOVER IN KALISPELL, MONTANA

What a wonderful day we had today!  It started off by driving to the Montana Glacier Park and enjoying the beautiful scenery.   Took some photos of the Falls and then drove to a nearby restaurant for lunch.  We soon realized that "Huckleberry" was the general theme not only in this restaurant but in all the signs advertising food.   Our lunch was supurb and we enjoyed the 'home-style' cooking that obviously was present here.   After lunch Don had kindly arranged for our Rafting Trip and what fun that was!   After 2 wonderful hours on the Raft the 8 of us had a great meal at one of the neighbourhood Steak Houses and then back to the Rig to pack up ready for tomorrow's departure.

DAY 19 - LAYOVER IN KALISPELL, MONTANA

Today was a very relaxing day - girls just spending time together at our favorite stores and then lunch at Applebees.  There's always things to pick up and so after we decided we had everything we needed drove back to the Rigs.  Meanwhile the guys had spent many hours having to change our plans for staying at Fairmont Hot Springs.   Apparently the RV Park we were booked at is closed due to flooding!   Needless to say we will be staying at Cranbrook instead of Fairmont!   Tonight us girls played Canasta while the guys listened to the Lions Game on the Radio!   Tomorrow we are going 'rafting' so that should be fun.

DAY 18 - MISSOULA MT. TO KALISPELL MT.

We decided to leave a little later today as it was only 121 miles to Kalispell.  Beautiful scenery again and some of the photos I took today were just from our moving truck.  I only have a small camera but am sure pleased with the results.  Arrived at Kalispell around 1 p.m. and stopped for lunch before checking in at the Park.  Relaxing afternoon, played Jokers and then went for a nice walk around the park.

DAY 17 - LAYOVER IN MISSOULA, MONTANA

The thunderstorm last night really has cleared the air and today the weather was beautiful again.  Us girls had a day at 'home' getting laundry done and just relaxing around the RV site.  It was a nice change.   The guys played 2 rounds of golf and called to say they would meet us at Cracker Barrel for dinner at 6:30.   Sue, Jan, Marg and I had enjoyed playing Canasta for most of the afternoon....so we were happy to go eat!   When we got back Gil, Ted and Bob checked out the golf courses at our next stop and all of us, together with Max enjoyed the sunset.

THIS TYPE OF PLANNING IS VERY TYPICAL....TONIGHT HOWEVER I THINK DON WAS READING HIS MEDICAL JOURNAL!

AFTER ALL....WHY SHOULDN'T I LOOK LIKE A TOURIST??....I AM PART OF THE GROUP!
